Space Waltz

Astronaut stranded in deep space,
There is no hope for rescue.
Forever lost till oxygen dries out.

I stare at stars and nebulae.
Time feels like it doesn’t pass.
While being caught in gravity.
Of captivating planet Mars.

Thinking back and praying hard,
To gods I know are false.
But then a weird thing happened,
I swear I thought I’d died.

But just in the nick of time,
A little smile,
Sent by pretty face a parsec off.

Wrapped in unbreakable fishing cord,
Pulled back to reality.
By you and only you.
For the depths of my heart are forever yours.
