Solar Flares

Rubber hooves rushing, racing
Over jet black paths, cling
Golden wings chasing adrenaline.

Wafting on glistening breeze,
Losing sanity while lush trees,
Speed, past sparkling eyes.

Visions of pain, summoned and bound,
Once again reach solid ground,
Felled by virulent fantasy.

Rising along flying embers, alluring,
As the fireflies keep dancing,
Voices in the dark keep chanting.

Phantoms wilting with the fall,
As poppies wither to ash, we maul,
The dreams of black and white.

For colors flow in desert canyons,
Painted midnight skies by ravens,
Freezing time, immortalizing you.
