Siren's Song feat. Despair
Bed of roses dyed crimson by pain,
Bed of doves tainted grey by haunted rain,
Flashing meaning on bare thread,
Biting, getting hooked on soothing trap.
Reeled and ripped from senseless void,
Shooting beyond stars, dazed by opioid,
Clinging on to world’s false reveries,
Unable to swallow existence’s remedies.
Losing self in journey to the core,
In a desperate quest for ever more,
Lulled by sweet promise, easily broke,
Every syllable uttered, tightening the choke.
Binding ever further, lonely hands, reaching,
Delved into seas of books, teaching,
To hail the walls keeping you sane,
To hail the venomous chains.
Azure mirror hung above, hollowly watch,
The cyclic trials presented by wicked fate,
Twisted lighting broke life left in fragile state,
Our divinity consumed by reckless hate.
And yet,
The emptiness never lifts its gaze,
Incapable of turning away,
Forever locked in suffocating haze.
