Shackles of Fear
Your pure smile,
Grinding down stone walls,
Hiding a scared rotting pile,
With a turn of your head,
You cut the powerlines,
Keeping my fears fed,
Your simple gaze,
Brings a fiery rain,
To set the fields,
Of sorrow ablaze,
The look in your eyes,
Finally brings back,
The sun to my skies,
Your hair gently falls,
Tearing down the gates,
To forgotten halls,
A spark from your face,
Lets light pass through,
The glooming haze,
A word from your lips,
Fights off,
Fear’s lightning whips,
The sound of your voice,
Leaves my heart,
With only one choice,
Your infectious glee,
Breaks the shackles,
So I can finally be free.
