Sensei Of The Everwoods

Deep, beyond mountains of old,
Trees, ancient, towering.
Canopies mimicking clouds of green.

Clearing spotted with the essence of the rainbow,
Rising from the ground,
along the morning mist,
thoughts of emptiness.

Ideas of meaning in an uncaring world,
Where predators hunt, to escape - solitude.
Prey nothing more than distraction,
Unwavering killing till the hunter has to turn to himself.

Sensei of the ever woods-

Tell us of your odysseys,
Through lands forgotten and meadows untouched.

Master of the ways, lost-

Tell us of the books,
Your revered histories, turned ethereal.

Teacher-

Lead us to the lands of fairy tails,
Of azure butterflies and scintillating fireflies.

Friend-

Wait for us, in the ever after,
We’ll journey on to dreams undreamed,
To worlds not yet imagined.

Forests groaning, parting,
For the self proclaimed kings,
For the conquerors of nature.
Fire leading their paths,
Erasing everything,
Everything unalike.
