Piranha Heart
Strips of flesh dangling in the wind,
Sniffing blood from miles away,
Stalking undeserving prey,
Will it ever be okay?
Sheltering what needed to be free,
Eyeing shadows in my mind,
Fearing waves of dark,
Skin with arrows intertwined.
Ripping muscle from bleak bone,
Bonds and feelings torn apart,
Madness pierced by eerie tone,
What have you done, heart?
Latching on to hallucinations, night,
Burning feelings fueling chaos,
Remain only skeletons, white,
Turned to ash by Helios.
All consumed by my Piranha Heart.
