Heads or Tails?

Consciousness retreats,
Scared by life’s eerie beats,

Visions but a blur,
Eyes, brain can’t concur,

To soothing voice,
Left hardest choice,

Impressions hammered in,
Dizzy left with broken fin,

In need of compass to point true,
Meddle pierce, enticing view,

Is this step but in my head,
Can’t tell which side is the greater threat.
