Final Breath

Don’t close my lifeless eyes,
Peering into cosmic seas,
Where callous gods are born,
And cruel titans mourn,

Restless soul pulled on final string,
Journey to the vacuous void,
Where grim solace waits for kings,
Not even immortal has a choice.

Blood spilled in the abyss,
Forlorn dreamer’s longing kiss,
Where suns repent their age old sins,
Cardinal cradle, primal spring.

Empty veins slowly twist,
Drained of mirthful verve through sunken rifts,
Where empty are the lies of fate,
Washed clean of human hate.

My wayward soul drifting oh so far,
Drawn by the gravity of withering star,
Where the skies shroud light with umbra dark,
Reaching for love’s fusion spark.

Gifted, still old daggers in your heart,
There I’ll be, till my flesh, fallen apart.
