Fallen Moon

Infinitely running, continuing without the permission to rest.
Fleeing from time and space. Nowhere welcome, nowhere wanted.
No home.
Always on the move in fear they might catch me.

The perplex mirroring surface of the nightly sea painting a faint picture of lit up night.
No stars to be seen ever again.
The behemoths who let their fires run free,
Who created the incendiary which is now causing the world fall into extinction.

All I see is the opaque figure watching the inferno overtake the desolate forests,
No more life inhabiting,
Just the charred carcasses waiting to be carried into the everlasting realm of darkness.
The only guardian left to save this breaking world, the solitary blood-red moon.
Bleeding by the sight of the dying world he used to safeguard.
The stars consumed by the black flames.
The trees just onyx shadows in the distance.
Do I really want to live in this deserted land?
Where turf is darker than my soul, where the night is brighter than the day.
The daylight not a savior but an omen of death.
No place to hide in the blinding light of the torrid sun.

The monsters picking up my trace. My sword and guns no use against their might.
I wished you were here but you left with all the other cursed souls.
The pillars of grey smoke clouding my already blurred vision.
Forced to roam this hexed kingdom of horror.
The dead eyes of my deceasing comrades starring blankly into my crying eyes who are pouring streams of silver and crimson by now.
The warm mix of liquids cooling down the soil my burned feet need to march on.
This earth is nothing more than a torment meant to never end, save me.

All to see my pain are the fallen moon and the imploding stars.
Take my soul and bring it somewhere save if you still care.
