Dissolution of Self

Dreaming of days,
Obviated toxin’s sway,
Dreaming of fate,
Obviated by fortress’ gate,

Rusted thorns hailing,
Whispers thunder exhaling,
Cavalry breaching line,
Shattered patchwork spine,

Wishing for revived lies,
Not insides behind closed eyes,
Wishing for fault,
For anything but senseless assault,

Glory burning treacherous paths,
Exalting, fueling undying wrath,
Instead of utopian salvation,
Reborn as abyssal cetacean,

Iron might to flimsy dust,
Drowning in waves of disgust,
Dyed lens, can no longer hide,
The empty mirror inside.
