Dance Of The Sun And The Moon

Smiles sent unanswered into the void,
Illuminating lonely asteroid,
Spinning and pulling alone,
Reigning from solitary throne.

Take my hand and let us dance,
For a planet yet to come,
For species yet to advance,
Forging a beat for our drum.

With morning you rise,
With evening I catch,
Your light won’t find demise,
Smiles continuing their match.

As you watch the expanse,
I fall into endless trance,
Always admiring your shine,
Facing away, an unforgivable crime.

You thought you were forever lost,
Your fires searing all trust,
Cursed to solemnly rust.

I, enchanted by light,
Joined you in your fight,
You won’t shine alone,
On zenith’s throne.
