Butterfly Effect

Beautiful butterflies, bountiful times,
Carried high, beyond, sometimes,
Wondrous wings, patterns ephemeral,
Ever changing, till my funeral.

Pleasant pictures, yearning immortality,
Cancerous carnage, eating possibility,
Memories of miracles, fading to void,
As dusk turns to day.

One flap, one step, one action,
Harrowing hurricane, wishing for extraction,
Eye where everything comes to rest,
Will you be the final crest.
