A Love Poem
Cipher solved in moon lit night,
Battle won before it had begun,
Love’s tether softly wrapped,
The shards I hid inside my heart
Swept away by tidal wave,
Words I never thought I’d hear,
Souls holding each other tight,
Never parting till the grave.
Cure to poison injected by time,
Antidote to insane mind,
Hand that swipes away,
All the pain I couldn’t let go.
Wishing to feel your warmth,
Letting go of the worry,
Caught in bubble,
Breaking the grim hold of time.
Communing with the dead,
Of times sunk into the sand,
Digging to uncover and make,
A palace out of ruins in our heads.
Exploring reality, unbothered by fear,
Sailing beyond the edge of the world,
Lay claim to love and vivid future,
Even if all to be seen is smoke.
When I hear your cries,
Fight giants and monsters,
Slay the armies of dead,
And beat gods at their game.
When I hear your call,
I’ll ride to the sun,
Pull the moon close,
And catch the stars in my palm,
For you to wear,
And shine,
Till the end of time.
I love you.
